Art for Life: New Work by Luis H. Salazar

Palms for Life is thrilled to unveil this stunning new work by Ecuadorian artist Luis Humberto Salazar, Tribute to Michelle Obama. Salazar was inspired by the First Lady’s fight for improving the health and nutrition of children in America. Obesity and malnutrition are problems that plague families living in poverty. They are two sides of the same coin. The First Lady’s Let’s Move! initiative and other efforts to improve school feeding programs and promote health education in the United States are also key pillars of Palms for Life’s programs in poor countries.
Palms for Life hopes that the philanthropist who will purchase this painting will present it to the First Lady as a gift, in appreciation for her work on behalf of children’s nutrition. Proceeds from the sale of the painting will go towards social investment and empowering disadvantaged populations.
Palms for Life has worked with Luis Salazar since 2006 within our “Art for Life” program. He has produced 65 paintings many of which have been sold here in the US, with the proceeds supporting our programs.
This and other astonishing pieces by Salazar will be on exhibit in NYC from June 12 to June 20 at the chashama Gallery on 3rd Avenue and 41st Street. Like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter to keep up to date on the details of this exhibition as the date draws closer!
